ECAS welcomed three new members in its Board of Directors in the cusp of its 30th Anniversary

On the 16th of June, ECAS’ Board of Directors welcomed three new members – Paulina Fröhlich, Head of the Future of Democracy Programme at Das Progressives Zentrum, Raluca Negulescu-Balaci, Executive Director at UiPath Foundation and Marek Mračka, Media Analyst – Election Observation, Founder of MEMO98.

The joyful occasion coincided with the celebration of ECAS’ 30th anniversary. It was a moment to recall the achievements and challenges the organisation faced in the past years and to look towards the future.

Assya Kavrakova, Executive Director of ECAS highlighted the important achievements the organisation accomplished in the past 9 years<. Over the years, ECAS developed a focus area in Digital Democracy and expanded its historical EU rights area, in addition to the creation of a branch in Bulgaria. She thanked the ECAS employees that contributed to these achievements.

 

Malachy Vallely, Chairperson of the Board of Members of ECAS gave an inspiring speech on work in the non-profit sector. He highlighted the importance of our projects for civil society.

The evening was the occasion for the current team members of ECAS, former colleagues and partners to celebrate together and finally meet again in person while hybrid settings became the new standard.
