Policy Briefs: Internet voting for open government

24 April 2023
ECAS and EDDA policy briefs
This policy brief series aims to outline the connection between open government and internet voting and indicate the potential for synergy and practical application.

The series introduces the concepts and models of open government and internet voting, provides examples, delineates preconditions, discusses risks, and offers recommendations for introducing i-Voting and enhancing open government.

The three policy briefs share the same core ideas but are divergent due to highlighting peculiarities of advancing internet voting at different levels of governance: European Union, national, and local levels.

Therefore, it is advised to choose a brief most relevant for the reader:

As this is a joint project of ECAS and the European Digital Development Alliance, the briefs are published on both organisations’ websites.
