Having accumulated a valuable expertise in the field, we are hosting a free of charge training for Civil Servants and Civil Society Organisations with the goal to increase the awareness of local administrations and civil society on current obstacles to freedom of movement, by providing the tools to interpret and implement Directive 2004/38 on the right of citizens of the Union and their family members to move and reside freely in the EU.
Participants will be able to raise any questions linked to their daily work, and will also have the opportunity to network with other civil servants and members of the civil society.
This training is part of the EURECA project, co-funded by the European Union, and the PROMISE project, funded by the European Programme for Integration and Migration (EPIM). Our partners on the PROMISE project, Democratic Society and Alliance4Europe, are supporting us in the training implementation.

Meet our Italian expert – Valentina Mayer!
Since 2002, Valentina is a legal expert for “Your Europe Advice” an EU advice service provided by legal experts from ECAS – European Citizen Action Service, operating under contract with the European Commission. In her role, Valentina provides personalized legal advice to EU enterprises and citizens on their rights under EU law while working, living and travelling within the EU, as well as practical information on the exercise of rights deriving from EU legislation and signposting destinations for further assistance. Valentina contributes to feedback reports on the application of EU law in the Member States aimed at assisting the European Commission in identifying issues to be addressed to improve the functioning of the Single Market.
Valentina holds a European Master in Audio-visual Management, an LL.M. in European Business Law that she obtained in the Netherlands and a Law degree from the University of Bologna.
