On September 16th, ECAS will organise an online focus group in Czech Republic with representatives of NGOs, political parties, public administrations and mobile EU citizens to reflect on EU mobile citizens’ participation to both the local and the EU elections, in light of the upcoming municipal elections in Czech republic.
This focus group is the second one that ECAS is organising as part of the EURECA project; the first focus group took place in March and paved the way for reflection around the elections in the Netherlands.
The objective of these discussions is to have a better understanding of the obstacles and challenges that EU citizens are still facing when they want to register or to participate to the elections in their host country. Participants therefore come up with recommendations, and ideas for solutions to tackle those obstacles and improve electoral rights in the EU.
