Crowdsourcing and Policy-Making in Europe – Lunch & Learn!

July 2 @ 12:00 - 13:30

Are you a crowdsourcing beginner or a confirmed expert on this digital democracy method for engaging citizens in policy-making? Unlock the power of crowdsourcing at our event and discover how to use digital tools to co-create policy recommendations with citizens!

In the framework of the INDEU (Inclusive Digitalisation in the EU) Project, we are thrilled to invite you to a unique training focusing on what crowdsourcing is and how it can allow for more direct participation of people in decision-making processes. This event offers a prime opportunity to learn from experts and understand the innovative practices that harness the collective intelligence of citizens to shape policies.

Why Attend?

During this lunch event, you will be able to discover how crowdsourcing is revolutionizing policy-making and democratic processes in Europe. Whether you are a citizen, a member of a civil society organisation, an academic, a decision-maker or a media representative, don’t miss the chance to listen to an international panel of experts on crowdsourcing: Elisa Lironi, Programme Director for European Democracy at ECAS will present the ins and outs of crowdsourcing; Alexandros Tzoumas, Chief Technical Officer at Science for You – SciFY, will share how a platform is developed and the issues to be aware of; Petko Georgiev, Director at ProInfo Bulgaria, will highlight the importance of communications strategies for engaging citizens online and Andreas Müller, Managing Director at Democracy International will present a case study of the crowdsourcing on ‘air quality’ that took place in Berlin in 2022.
