Project Coordinator

ECAS is looking for a motivated and experienced project coordinator who will support the ECAS’ Executive Director in project management related to just transition and activities related to ECAS’s re-granting to its members in the EU (civil society organisations).

The successful candidate will benefit from 4-months tailored training and coaching in the above-mentioned areas of activities before the six-months employment contract.

ECAS’ Project Coordinator should have a keen interest in understanding European citizenship issues, should be creative and should operate effectively at their own initiative while being a team player and should be able to work under tight deadlines.

Commitment to ECAS’ mission and values is a must.

 

Responsibilities  

Reporting to the ECAS’s Executive Director and being trained by the ECAS’s project manager, the Candidate will:

  • Organise events (liasing with project partners, reaching out to speakers, design events’ programmes, event promotion in collaboration with the Communication manager)
  • Map and reach out to relevant stakeholders in the Just Transition field
  • Draft meetings’ minutes and events’ reports;
  • Draft tailored documents
  • Prepare call for proposals and contracts
  • Deliver logistical and administrative support to project management

 

Knowledge and Experience

  • BA or Master’s Degree in European Studies or any other relevant field
  • Excellent knowledge of the EU decision-making process
  • Knowledge of just transition and Green Deal concepts is an advantage
  • Experience in grant-making is an advantage
  • Knowledge of EU funding programmes and related procedures and/or experience in European project management is a strong asset
  • Communications experience

Contract

The position is Brussels – based and is open to candidates that are interested to carry out internship under the respective Belgian contract, followed up by a 6-month employment contract upon a positive performance review.
