Kristina Velimirovic

Project Coordinator
As Project Coordinator, Kristina’s work focuses on projects in EU democracy, digital policy, and just transition. Her main responsibilities are:

  • Supporting ECAS’ tasks for the BOLSTER project (Horizon Europe), focusing on the impact of the Just Transition on marginalised communities and the ways of engaging them in the transition process together with the European Democracy Coordinator;
  • Management of a regranting scheme dedicated to EU members of the organisation, under ECAS’ operating grant from the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme of the EU;
  • Supporting the implementation and reporting duties for the ECAS’ operating grant from CERV and other EU projects.

Before joining ECAS, Kristina was a Project Assistant and Junior Researcher at the European Policy Centre – CEP in Belgrade, where she worked on EU projects in the context of the Western Balkans accession process. Kristina was also an EEAS trainee at the EU Delegation to Serbia, supporting its work in the field of Justice and Home Affairs and Civil Society Facility. In addition, she has experience in policy research and analysis and event organisation. She is the 2023 OSCE Peace and Security and 2024 EU-US Young Leaders alumna.

 

Kristina holds an International Master’s Degree in Security, Intelligence, and Strategic Studies (IMSISS), delivered by the University of Glasgow, the University of Trento, and Charles University in Prague, and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Belgrade, with one year at Charles University in Prague.
