As EU Rights Policy Officer, Avilia’s main tasks include:
- Supporting ECAS activities in the EU Rights focus area
- Supporting the management of the Digital Transformation Cluster of the Civil Society Convention for the Future of Europe
- Monitoring gender and non-discrimination policies’ implementation in ECAS projects and activities
Before joining ECAS in May 2021, Avilia worked in the European NGO sector with civil society organisations such as SOLIDAR and New Europeans. She also worked for the UK-based think tank Henry Jackson Society and for the Embassy of Italy in London. The main focus of her work has been on European democracy promotion and EU external affairs.
She holds a Master of Science in International Social and Public Policy with Development (London School of Economics and Political Science – LSE) and a Bachelor of Arts in European Politics (King’s College London).
