On 14 September the European Commission launched a public consultation on EU Citizenship targeting all EU citizens in order to determine the main problems they encounter when moving across borders and to collect their ideas about how to remove these obstacles to ensure the full enjoyment of their EU rights.
In contrast with other public consultations, this one consists of several multiple choice questions and some short open questions in order to facilitate its completion and encourage participation.
The survey runs until 7 December 2015. It is addressed to all EU citizens, organisations and other stakeholders concerned with advancing EU citizenship. ECAS will participate in this survey and will provide its contribution based on the expert knowledge it has accumulated over the years through the Your Europe Advice service and the EU Rights Clinic. We strongly encourage all citizens and stakeholders to participate in this survey in order to help the Commission identify where the shortcomings are and how to improve them.
